Fantastic Local News for Westfield Commuters
If you enjoy your coffee and ride the train from the Westfield train station, you will be happy to hear that now you can enjoy a Cup of Joe and buy a newspaper at the kiosk located on the South Side of the train station, which had been closed since 2016, when its former proprietor retired.
According to The Westfield Leader, the charming little kiosk had been in business since the late 1800's until it's closure 6 years ago.
The company Boxcar is now running the stand, which has limited hours from 5:45 am to 9:45 am offering newspapers, coffee, tea and snack bars. They are hoping to expand the hours and offer more options eventually.
Last Fall, the long standing kiosk was also nominated to become an official local historic landmark by Westfield Historic Preservation Commission.
